the fall of the museum of children

There used to be an amazing children’s museum downtown. Where did it go? I think I may know…The last time I took the kids there, a submarine was on display. You could crawl inside of it and look out a periscope at the waves overhead. It felt so real you expected Captain Nemo to appear. Instead, it was someone else. We smelled him before we saw him. When he burst through the hatch, he announced himself, “I’m Captain Jack!” and he was wearing a full diaper. We abandoned ship immediately. There was no escape though, that odor drifted everywhere and we heard shrieks by the orca as he appeared over there, “I’m Captain Jack!” It was too much for the museum. Like the House of Usher it broke apart and we ran for our lives. I turned around in time to see the remains tumble into the sea.

  1. I'll bet Captain Jack was a rambunctious 4-year old with lazy parents who neglected to change his diaper! They probably left him there and went down the street to get sorbet!
