movie time

Watched The Space Children (1958)
last night. Where are they now when
we really need them?

amazing marble

Just finished two great books, The Case of the
Marble Monster and The Amazing, Enlightening
and Absolutely True Adventures of Katherine
Whaley. I still remember that Marble cover from
the old elementary Scholastic Books days and the
infamous statement, "The price of the smell of food
is the sound of money." And always been a fan of
artist storyteller, Kim Deitch.

movie time

I watched a great movie The Chase (1946).
It had a couple moments where I thought
the film reels had been rearranged, very
interesting. And the ultimate backseat
driver. Oh, and Don Wilson too!

A Hundred Dreams Ago

Just approved publication for my next book,
due to be published June 4th,
A HUNDRED DREAMS AGO :
"A winter book of poetry and prose that tells
the tale of life on 32nd Street in the Pacific Northwest.
This adventure begins with a poem section "The
Blue Remains," turns into short stories "Meanwhile,
in the Planetarium," and concludes with a childhood
memory "Donald Sleep." For three cold, wet months
I waited for the next transmission and kept record
of them on paper. I'd like to present these 109
messages to you now, in hopes that wherever
you are the sun is shining (unless it's nighttime
of course)."

I just finished reading Christen Mattix's
great new book, Skein, set right here in
Bellingham! She knits a blue line from
Fairhaven to the bay. Very thoughtful
and inspiring.

winter book

Getting ready to publish another Good Deed Rain
book. This one is a collection of poetry and prose,
written during this past 3 months of winter. A
beautiful cover again by Aaron Gunderson. More
on this very soon. This will be my 24th book.
