movie time
Watched two good movies:
Desire (1936) and The Dark Corner (1946).
I especially liked the part with William Bendix
on the payphone while the girl in the hallway
annoys him with a slide whistle.
Ignatius
Yesterday we went to Eclipse,
the local bookstore that features in
The Orphanage of Abandoned Teenagers,
and got our son one of my favorite books
of all time: A Confederacy of Dunces.
Long Live Ignatius!

strangers at the door
One of the books I read this summer was
Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove's Strangers
At My Door, which surprisingly starts
the same way as my book, The Orphanage
of Abandoned Teenagers.
Le Petit Prince
I'm halfway through a notebook writing a
new novel. It's set at a lake and features
The Little Prince.

book trilogy
Good Deed Rain will soon be publishing a tribute
to La Conner poet artist Clyde Sanborn. This book
will complete a trilogy devoted to the Skagit arts
which includes: A Flutter of Birds Passing Through
Heaven: A Tribute to Robert Sund and In the Valley
of Mystic Light. 3 Beautiful Inspiring books.

movie time
Just watched Woman on the Run (1950).
It's interesting to see the film noir movies
made on East vs. West coasts. This one
takes place in San Francisco. Wonder if
old Kerouac was in one of those alleys
or docks.
