I've been reading Tom Robbins' new book
Tibetan Peach Pie. Of course I especially like
this quote: "there are legions of us stray cats
for whom libraries, bookshops, and movie
theaters have served as temples, cathedrals,
or sacred groves." Amen. I have to admit,
some time ago, I actually wrote a fake letter
from Tom Robbins to his agent, recommending
a manuscript of mine. Hah! The nerve!
I even forged his autograph at the end.
However, I didn't have quite the nerve to
mail it. With my own press, I just publish
my own books and let the wind take them.
