inspirations

I reread Brautigan's An Unfortunate Woman book
every summer. Another unique masterpiece of
writing. Also, I'm at work getting ready to publish
a big collection of my science fiction novels soon.
Philip K Dick was another author who was a huge
discovery for me. I remember looking all over
Seattle for his paperbacks. He's a big inspiration.

Reread Red Pine's amazing translation
of Stonehouse's timeless poems.
Also been rereading Brautigan's
Revenge of the Lawn book over and
over. Both these books have made an
impression on the new book I'm writing.
Aiming to publish it in Fall with
Good Deed Rain. Stay tuned.

2 by Ted Kooser

I sure enjoy poet Ted Kooser's books for
children, HOUSE HELD UP BY TREES
and THE BELL IN THE BRIDGE.
Beautiful illustrations in them too.
Would be so fun to get a painting book
like this published.

animals

Watched 2 great documentaries about Joe Hutto,
living with deer and wild turkeys. Very wise and
inspirational to the new book I'm writing.
