 No Pelicans

“Sorry,” the tour guide told everyone. “There aren’t any pelicans today.” They were all inside the beach house, watching TV. Probably a leisurely breakfast too. I should have crossed the sand to look in the window. But we promised we wouldn’t bother the stars.
