crayon fable

working on another project
and rediscovered my old
little novel, Crayon Fable,
published in Ohio Trio book:

The avenue wore a river on it.
Trucks and cars piled through
waves. Buildings reflected
water in their windows and
some children floated in tires
down the sunken scene.

elmore leonard

Well, the library is closed to public
and I just finished Elmore Leonard's
book, Up in Honey's Room. He is an
expert story teller and knows just how
to end a chapter perfectly.

bus across

One of the fun things I've been
working on for books is getting
the drawings to spread across
both pages. Like this bus picture
in Violet of the Silent Movies.

5 Violets

5 copies of the new GDR book,
VIOLET of the SILENT MOVIES.
Official publication day is April 2.
If you need books while you're
locked away in your room, away
from the world, Good Deed Rain
has lots of imagination to share
with you.

The TIN CAN TELEPHONE

Good Deed Rain has another new book due to
be published in May. The TIN CAN TELEPHONE
is coming to save the day! A couple of tin cans are
strung together and suddenly childhood memories
come pouring through, so real you are there again.
Each chapter arrives with a different sound from
1975 Seattle: a museum trolley bell, recess,
Halloween, movie theaters, lost dogs, best friends,
radio songs and climbing trees and more.
As usual, each new book I publish is my favorite.
Hope you get a chance to read this one!

unteleported

In these strange times, rereading Philip K. Dick.
Finished The Transmigration of Timothy Archer
and Valis. Now I'm reading Lies Inc. (aka The
Unteleported Man). I was reading it on the bus
to work this morning and laughed out loud
when I got to the section about the factory worker
who is doing "a job which a pigeon could do better;
fact was, a pigeon did do so, to check his work."
