In my dream last night I fell asleep at a crowded lecture on mountain climbing in the Himalayas. Still within the dream, I woke up in a dark, empty auditorium—no not quite empty, a custodian was pushing a cart into the room. I apologized and flustered. It’s interesting to know there are custodians behind the scenes in dreams. I know over the years I’ve created plenty of havoc for them with gorillas and great white sharks, crashing planes, floods, wars, and other mayhems. Fortunately, they’re ready every night for more.

The NEPTUNE

Next novel stars the Neptune Theatre, back when it used to show double features every night and I would park on Brooklyn Ave by the IHOP on the hill.

BIG BUDGET

Enjoying the new reupholstered Beatles Revolver recording, with all the wondrous outtakes! It was the perfect companion for editing the draft of my next novel. You’ll have to stay tuned for this one—it’s got some familiar Good Deed Rain characters, plus some new faces too, including a six foot rabbit and a cameo by James Stewart. Bet you didn't think we had the budget for that. And of course, Neptune. 2023 will be GDR’s year of the novel, with 3 ready to go and another in the works! So stay tuned!

Here's the front cover of the new Good Deed Rain book, to be published on this Thanksgiving. The title is: The WIRES and CIRCUITS of EARTH. 11 short stories, each one a fantastic other reality. I've been sharing some of the page spreads from it with you already. As mentioned in the book's introduction, it's the sort of paperback you'd find if you were in a 1962 train station and stopped at the newsstand for something to read on the journey to your next destination.
