I've been thinking about my sequel
to "Roosevelt." I finished the manuscript
some time ago; I'm waiting for the illustrations
to be done. (I was hoping it would be published
by this next election.) Today a friend stopped
by the office with this photo signed by Robert
Kennedy. He plays a big part in the sequel
I wrote, and is a far away reminder of who
used to run for president in our country.

Hello Readers! This is the cover and cover spread for
the next Good Deed Rain publication. It's a poetry
collection by Paul Piper. Paul recently worked on
the Robert Sund tribute book with me and I'm very
pleased to present his new poems. The book is also
illustrated with water color paintings by Paul's
sister, Penny. It's a beautiful book!

Took the family out to visit Jimmy and Joanne Zabik
on the Skagit River today. Doing research on the tribute
to Clyde Sanborn book. Jimmy loaned me a bunch of
great photos, including this one of Robert Sund from
June 1982. Sund lived close by Clyde, both of them
amazing artists.

Good day to all. Sorry I've been remiss on updates. 

This summer I've been very busy working on several 

Good Deed Rain publications. (Paul Piper's poetry book, 

a big collection of my detective stories) and also working 

on a tribute book for poet/artist Clyde Sanborn. 

He lived along Skagit River and his story is quite amazing. 

I've been interviewing and collecting stories and treasures 

from his friends. This book is just as exciting as publishing 

Robert Sund's tribute "A Flutter of Birds Passing Through 

Heaven." This is one of Clyde's paintings:

 

Tribute to Robert Sund this Sunday

There will be a reading and celebration for "A Flutter of Birds 

Passing Through Heaven: A Tribute to Robert Sund," 

at the Museum of Northwest Art (MONA) on 

Sunday, August 21 at 2pm.  

Drinks and light refreshments will be available.  

Admission is free.

Museum is located in La Conner.
