“Pollution must be attacked by eliminating its
sources rather than just ameliorating its effects…the need is clear for much
more stringent control than now exists…Attempts to control the pollution of our
water and atmosphere cannot be allowed to fail. The environment in which we
live is part of us; when we degrade it, we degrade ourselves.”
By now, Robert F. Kennedy's time it almost out. 47 years ago, running for president, ghosting along the west coast, his spirit is a big part of my ROOSEVELT sequel book.
