A rocket car roared by close, a hot wind and reek of kerosene, and Howard held on tightly to the pitching cardboard sail. It almost got away from him, it was like hauling in a fishing net. When he could rest it back on its wheels, there was no sign of Dorothy, she had vanished with the breeze.

What's new with Good Deed Rain? Well, I finished writing a new novel, the film noir about witches in a raining black and white city. Just need to type it up and do some drawings. It's a good one! Stay tuned for more.

In 1965, Roger Price published his own magazine, Grump, subtitled “For people who are against all the DUMB THINGS going on.” It was a tabloid on thick paper, 16 pages in two colors, with no advertising. Price contributed his own material, like an article on pet clams. Puttering Day

Today is the official publication day for new collection of short stories, THE PUTTERING MARVEL. I just got a box of them in the mail and they look marvelous. Here's the page spread from the title story. This story takes place in my grandparents' house in Maine.

Happy New Year everyone! For 2021 Good Deed Rain has a new book published this week, THE PUTTERING MARVEL.
