walking on TV

This installation in the university art building
is 4 TVs on an endless loop of a guy walking
through the leaves. It features in the novel I've
just completed, though I changed the man to
a gorilla. Also, if you look carefully, you
might notice someone has added something...

monster time

I almost stopped reading Stephen King's
new book it was so gruesome, but I soon
got into it and couldn't put it down.
Once again, Mr. King has his finger on
the pulse of America, the horror of a
monster that feeds on fear, pain, sorrow
and terror, a monster that became an awful
lot more familiar these past years especially.
In other words, it's another book that speaks
to what's going on and conquers it. 
I also liked the reference to the Mexican
Luchadora movies and I am so glad that
Holly returned; she's a great character.

Raymond DeCapite

I reread A Lost King by Raymond DeCapite.
This is one of my favorite authors (and another
writer with books that are hard to find!). This
book is full of humor and a beautiful reflection
on a rough Cleveland world.

I watched Fallen Angel (1945).

It was so rough I had to watch 

Steve Martin's The Jerk.

I liked the setting a lot: the trailer park
at the beach with the rocket parked
next door, behind the padlocked fence.
