I meant to mention that a couple weekends ago
we saw Jim Jarmusch's latest film PATERSON.
Great movie from one of my favorite directors.

It got me thinking of Ron Padgett too

and I sought out his book TED.

This is a fantastic read.

and NIGHT FLIGHT (1932)

No school today because of the snow! (No work either!)
I made this rough looking yeti, but my son topped me
with this odd looking fellow (last photo).
I don't know how that proboscis stayed on, very
dignified.

At lunch I started reading Hosai Ozaki's
collection of Big Sky haiku. A friend of
Taneda Santoka, I love this inspired poetry.

Thomas Pynchon's "V" is a book
I've carried around since college
and finally started reading this week.
I recently finished writing a novel
and am in that weird limbo between
writing another one. Helps to read,
read, read and recharge with good words.
