a rabbit

Here's a poem I wrote today
for our noble hound:

A Rabbit

our dog stops
still as she gets
hoping to match
heartbeats
with the animal
she can't help
bolting at

on the new shelf

in the library, ready for checkouts.

this summer, I'm also editing another book for
my GOOD DEED RAIN press. This will be a
collection of 5 novels, written between 2000-2005.
